Open Range Beading
This Is Us
We were married in 2014, shortly after we found out we were expecting our first babe. We were so scared, so unprepared and so excited! Parenthood was something we both always dreamt about.
Unfortunately we would never meet that sweet little babe. After our miscarriage we did a lot of praying, as pregnancy was something we were told was no longer on the table for us. We had decided even before marriage that we would eventually adopt, but after a lot of prayer we felt the Lord tugging at our hearts to start our journey.
We had no idea what we were doing, adoption is a big step and there are so many options and decisions to make, but God gave us a yellow brick road! He placed people in our way that guided us and before we knew it just 6 months after deciding to start looking into it, we were home study approved and waiting to be matched!!
Just 4 days after that we were matched with our sweet son and his beautiful first mama. We grew to love both of them over the two months before he was born and then just 9 months after starting our journey we were in a hospital room in Texas with our sweet little boy.
We spent two weeks in Texas staying with family and bonding with our new little babe. We were over the moon and imagined how we wanted to conintue to grow our family through adoption, but as always God surprised us with His perfect plan.
4 days after getting home from Texas, we discovered we were pregnant! We were shocked. In November that same year, just 8 months after getting our son, we were blessed with our daughter.
In all of this we have been shown more clearly than ever thah Gods faithfulness never wavers. When we are obedient and follow His lead and trust Him to take care of us, we are never disappointed. Even in the hard times God is good.
We plan to continue adopting children to grow our family, so we decided to take this little fundraiser of beading and turn it into a business! All of the proceeds from everything we sell goes directly toward current and future adoptions.

Who We Are
The Iekels

David
The Brains and Backbone
David grew up in rural western Iowa. He spent most of his high school years working on his best friends cattle operation, which is where his passion for ranching grew. He's one of the hardest working men you'll ever meet with the biggest heart. He works hard every day so we can save to build our own herd, and he loves working on his buckskin mare training her for team roping.
He runs on Jesus, steak and horseback riding.

Carrie
The Heart and Creativity
Carrie grew up in rural Nebraska on her family's farm, driving large equipment and riding horses. She started breaking colts at 19 and never stopped. She keeps herself busy researching and learning new techniques on training horses and beading. She loves helping and serving others and teaching riding lessons.
She runs on Jesus, kisses from her babes, and over stuffed over sauced enchiladas.
